Tillerson hearts Trump and lies for him, a lot, too

Tillerson is on TV lying insistently that Trump's foreign policy is true America Firstism, novel, puts the forgotten American's interests first, is wonderful, is making America great, again, blah, blah, blah.

Not the way Breitbart and the people who actually are America Firsters see it.

And lavish praise for Trump, his smartness, his diligence, his wonderfulness in general.

He sounds like the North Korean Foreign Minister talking about Kim.

And then he just stopped.

That was the whole purpose of this two or three minutes in front of the cameras, apparently necessitated by an article in some paper reporting that Pence had to talk him into staying on the job and not quitting, a report he expressly denied.

Of course he is answering questions about real foreign policy matters from reporters, who seem not to have been much interested in his declarations of love for and loyalty to Big Brother.

Update.

CNN reports that Tillerson was overheard calling the president "a moron" after a meeting with him and others at the Pentagon in July, and that's when Pence intervened to keep him from quitting.

Tillerson evaded the question rather than denied he had said that, when asked.

Tillerson’s Fury at Trump Required an Intervention From Pence

The above at NBC is replete with details and apparently genuine and reliable sourcing.

So Tillerson is lying also about not being close to quitting and being soothed into staying.
