Death without fear

If liberals cared about humane execution they would worry less about brief pain or suffering caused by the method and more about the terror produced by the long, relatively idle wait for death.

Tranquilizers should be mandatory,  unannounced,  and administered with the food from an early date in increasing doses, as needed, so fear never sets in.

Not even anxiety should be allowed.

General knowledge that this is done could actually add to the deterrent effect.
