Ben Carson Caught In Big Lie About West Point Scholarship
He never applied, he was never accepted.
And dining with Westmoreland? Really?
And what else is he lying about?
And then there is Rand Paul, a likely secret atheist who has weirdly joined other panders for the nut right in casual and chronic invention of quotes to justify right wing lies about the religion of the Founders.
Update.
The Carson campaign disputes the Politico story and insists the candidate never said he applied to or was admitted to the academy.
What he said was that at some point some ROTC officials suggested to him he would have a good chance and offered to help him seek admission, but he decided not to apply.
The fuss is not over and the Carson campaign seems to be fudging.
See the story in The Guardian.
Carson's reported claims go well beyond what his campaign now says.
