Officials: Trump has military options for North Korea

Is this the time to point out that the US could and should move toward Trumpist, Buchananite, anti-interventionism?

The world would get along well enough without our meddling, or our people paying for the power required by globalism, in blood or treasure.

If we withdrew from the peninsula, NK would not target us and would not target SK, either.

Nor would they target anyone else, except perhaps Japan, which would then get its own nukes and thus create a balance not only with NK but, potentially, with China.

But America will no more climb down from globalism than ancient Rome would fall back from empire.

Don't want to pay the price?

Your children or grandchildren may be drafted.

Or nuked.

Your assets may be lost.

Move, perhaps to Argentina.

Or Sweden.

Can't afford to move?

Too bad.

Reading Milza and Berstein on how Italy coped with their totally unnecessary and unpopular participation in The Great War.

Multiple top Trump advisers said Friday there are military options available for dealing with the North Korea crisis, despite some experts and former Trump allies saying that there are no good options for the region.
