"Looks like" is not a fact, says Jeff Sessions to Trumpist GOP congressman

After a tirade of several minutes rehearsing Breitbart conspiracy theories linking Democrats, Hillary's campaign, Comey, and others to alleged Russian efforts to protect Hillary and sink Donald Trump, and denouncing the Russiagate dossier as a pack of Democrat lies, Congressman Jordan, wingnut from Ohio, referred to a letter sent months ago to the Justice Department by 20 Republican congressmen demanding a special counsel to investigate all that, and angrily demanded from Sessions whether one would be forthcoming and when.

Sessions somewhat heatedly explained that appointment of a special counsel requires a factual threshold be reached.

Jordan replied that "it sure looks like" a whole lot of baseless accusations and claims made by the wingnuts are true.

Sessions, clearly annoyed, insisted "looks like" is not a fact.

From this exchange, it appears early stories in the press indicating the Justice Department was more receptive to these demands were not entirely accurate.

Watching this horror show on MSNBC, I am amazed it seems that Sessions is being deluged with as much hostility from angry Trumpists in the GOP as from the Democrats.

Much of these goings on are serving to point out just how far Jeff Sessions is not doing what Trumpists, including Trump, want him to do, including especially appointing a special counsel to investigate Hillary and the Dems, as a Democrat Congressman reminds us Trump on campaign promised to do.

These grandstanding congressclowns are using up far more of their time speechifying than asking actual questions.
