The country is behind the opposition, not the ruling party

Zimbabwe's ruling party fires Mugabe, sets deadline for President to end rule

The is not what the opposition and the people wanted.

The point was to replace his authoritarian, endless rule with a genuine, multi-party republic, at last committed to the rule of law and featuring regular and orderly rotation in office based on popular votes.

These guys will not give up their positions without more of a push than the army has so far been willing to give.

Members of Mugabe's ZANU-PF party, which he co-founded to usher his country into independence, voted the 93-year-old President out on Sunday and said if he didn't announce his resignation by midday on Monday, they would move to impeach him in Parliament.

They anointed Emmerson Mnangagwa, the former vice president fired by Mugabe earlier this month, as new party leader.

Emmerson Mnangagwa, a 'tyrant' who could be Zimbabwe's next president

This is the murderous thug the ruling party wants to replace Mugabe with.

From awful to far worse.
