Why is nothing a surprise, any more?

Al Franken now accused of groping and fondling a woman during a 2006 trip.

It was a USO tour and he was a comedian, not a senator.

Franken apologizes after woman says he groped her

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell called for an Ethics Committee investigation of Sen. Al Franken after allegations that he groped a woman in 2006.

"As with all credible allegations of sexual harassment or assault, I believe the Ethics Committee should review the matter. I hope the Democratic Leader will join me on this," he said.

"Regardless of party, harassment and assault are completely unacceptable—in the workplace or anywhere else."

If the Dems don't join the GOP in punishing Franken, Moore and so many others will get away with it, or with much softer penalties.

Meanwhile, it is now said years ago a high school girl was called out of Trig class to the principal's office to get a call from Moore, who pushily demanded and got a date on which, according to her, he forcefully planted on her an unwanted kiss.

What the hell does that say about the principal and the school authorities?
