Phooey.

Let the Europeans fight eternally to defend Israel or promise the Jews of that country a way out less chaotic and safer than the way out for the pieds-noirs of Algeria or the white settlers of Rhodesia, as they prefer.

And let the Jews of Israel evacuate or remain in an Arab Palestine, Muslim and so probably not very secular, even at best, if that’s their ‘druthers and the Arabs agree.

Zionism is not worth the price everybody else has to pay to keep it up.

It never has been, though nobody has had the nerve to say so for over 60 years.

No more than European colonial rule from the metropole or local white control in the independent settler states were in most of Africa, after things started to fall apart in the mid-20th Century.

Of course, white rule in South Africa really didn't cost anybody outside that country a dime, looking back.

In fact, it was made untenable and brought down by the concerted economic and political pressure of the Occident, which could just as well have left it alone.

Rhodesia, too, might actually have made a go of it, had the Brits let UDI stand.

For a while, anyway.

But French Algeria could not have lasted a day in the face of the native uprising without military, economic, and political support from France.

And how long would Israel last without the aid and support of the US and many other states of the Occident?

And why?

Just an afterthought.

No country whose legislature features anything as absurdly anti-majoritarian as the US senate has or ever has had the least business lecturing others on the moral necessity of majority rule.

Still thinking of South Africa, Rhodesia, etc.
