Only a liberal could possibly bring himself to write
anything like this, and even then one is sure he does not believe it.
Quoth the Booman,
Like Obama, Rubio is
young, good-looking, articulate, and a racial minority.
Rubio, of course, is as white as George Washington; but his family immigrated from Cuba.
In this post, the BooMan comically - and a little surprisingly - refers to Rubio as the GOP's "brown hope" who is supposed to hide the inveterate racism of which he accuses the party, laughing at them for putting him forward.
That, he says, is just a variant on "their 'I'm not racist because I have black friends' gambit that never convinces anyone."
He is certain they will not in the end go for immigration reform - and they probably won't if it includes a quick path to the vote for such a preponderance of Democrats - and will not even support Rubio out of their "unapologetic racism."
So, that's two blatant whoppers, right?
One that Rubio is not white and the other that the GOP is composed of unapologetic white racists in a ratio of "dozens" to one.
