I have thrown away the Schick razor and now use the CVS house substitute for Mennen Skin Bracer.

This morning after shaving I was rinsing the VDH brush when it broke.
The glue holding the piece with the bristles to the handle let go.
Very odd.
A googlecheck on the web reveals it's a common problem to be handled with gorilla glue or epoxy, or whatever.
Some DIY types even buy bristle knots and handles separately and attach the pieces themselves, to begin with.
