My editions of the NLT and NIV lack editorial or scholarly commentary.
At 1 Timothy 1 slave traders (v 10) are listed with other wicked folk.
The subordination of women is again commanded at 2:9-15.
Qualifications for the job of bishop include being married only once (3:2) and being a good father (3:4, 5).
Likewise deacons (3:12).
He admonishes Timothy to avoid various bad sorts who will appear in the last days, 2 Timothy 3:1-5.
