What's next?

The president who was going to "drain the swamp" is the most profoundly corrupt - in not just the money sense but the political sense - in our history.

What's next?

Trump pardons all his cronies, his family, and himself for everything - how would he word it to cover the necessary ground? - everything they have ever done and ever will do.

And he fires not just Mueller but a batch of others in the Justice Department to totally end all investigations of him, his family, and his staff.

And all investigations focused on Russian interference in the election.

The greatest display of contempt for the American republic by an American politician in all of known history, and the GOP would express dismay and concern and then swallow.

Nothing to see here, move along.

His voters, to describe whom as a wretched basket of deplorables is almost to praise them with damns far too faint, will love it.

Functionally fascist to a man, they are.
