Blah, blah, blah

A few years back at the wonderful supermarket where we always shop my wife was stopped and accused of shoplifting by a malicious, stupid, or merely incompetent employee.

The employee was white, as is my wife.

But if she had been black should we have published an opinion piece in the Times about the enduring burden of black racism we white folks have to carry, all our poor abused lives?

For professional victim Ta-Nehisi Coates it’s never just a mistake or an episode of petty official malice or stupidity.

It’s always just the tip of this huuuuuuge f-ing iceberg of white people’s racism poor Ta and all his people have to suffer so under.

Jeez, go to a different deli until you get over it.

We still shop at the same grocery.

Great stuff.

Update, same day, later.

This is absolutely essential liberal and Democratic dogma.

This more than anything is their vote-getter and election winner.

They’ll probably be all over the place, for a few days.

Is there racism in America?

Good grief, how can you even ask?

Is it exploited for political gain?

Oh, my. Is it ever!

Can we end racism in America?

Anybody's against anybody?

Sure.

Right after we "end rape and take back the night," as a liberal feminist march in Pittsburgh a few years ago promised to do.
