to do with actual Christianity.
I can sympathize, up to a point, but who thinks vicious, mocking
scorn captures the attitude of even many Democrats to the pope and the
church he leads, let alone the heartbeat of America?
We are, after all, a very Christian nation and in large part
a very Catholic nation.
I’ll bet this kind of thing does not at all amuse E. J.
Dionne, for example, though he might not say so.
