I thought the same of the invasion of Afghanistan.

Two of the stupidest moves America has made since Vietnam.

And America has always been really, really good at stupidity in foreign affairs.

Pretty much every foreign war we ever fought was stupid, stupid, stupid.

A lot of people way, way outside the beltway knew nearly every feature of the global war on terror, most definitely including the two wars against Afghanistan and Iraq, was baloney.

A country ruled by idiots.

Not to mention other idiots wrecking the place out of sheer greed, and most often stupid, totally wrong-headed greed.

The people who make their way to power are not all that well informed and do not have what any sensible person ought to think of as good intentions, ordinarily.

But they are really, really bloody-minded.

That is to say, they are BONEHEADS WHO JUST DON'T LISTEN!
